Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The page loads its code once, then reads and processes your files inside the browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server; you can confirm it in your browser's network panel while a file converts.
How much smaller will the WebP be?
It depends on the image. Photos and gradients often shrink by 70–90%. Flat graphics and screenshots shrink less, and a very small PNG icon can occasionally get larger; the result shows the size of each file so you can compare.
Can it make lossless WebP?
Not yet. Browsers expose lossy WebP encoding only. At quality 100 the output is close to lossless but not bit-exact.
