Drop two or more PDFs, put them in order and download one combined file. Merging runs in your browser with pdf-lib, so contracts and statements never leave your device.

## How to use it

1. Drop PDFs on the box, or click it to pick them.
2. Drag files into order, or use the arrow buttons (keyboard friendly).
3. Press Merge and save the combined PDF.

## Details

- **Input:** Any unencrypted PDF
- **Output:** One PDF; pages are copied as-is, nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed
- **Kept:** Text, images, vector graphics, page sizes
- **Not kept:** Bookmarks/outline, form field links across files, digital signatures
- **Libraries:** pdf-lib (~0.4 MB) and pdf.js (~0.4 MB + worker) for thumbnails, loaded on demand

## Questions

### Are my files uploaded?

No. The page loads its code once, then reads and processes your files inside the browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server; you can confirm it in your browser's network panel while a file converts.

### Is there a file size or page limit?

No set limit. Merging happens in memory, so the practical ceiling is your device: a few hundred MB of PDFs works on most laptops; phones manage less.

### Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied into the new file unchanged, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.

### Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. Encrypted files are rejected with a message. Remove the password in your PDF reader first (you need the password to do that).

### Can I merge a JPG or a scan into the PDF?

Not directly yet; the tool accepts PDF files only. Print the image to PDF first (Print → Save as PDF on Mac, Microsoft Print to PDF on Windows), then merge.

### Will the merged PDF be bigger than the originals?

It is close to the sum of the inputs, sometimes slightly less when files share fonts. Merging never compresses images, so a 5 MB and a 3 MB file give about 8 MB.

### Can I reorder individual pages?

Use Organize PDF to drag single pages, rotate or delete them. It also accepts several files at once.
